英國港僑協會就不實報導之嚴正聲明
近日北京喉舌《巴士的報》、《環球周報》等媒體涉嫌假借「在英港人」名義，連日以匿名或假名連續發表多篇文章，以虛構內容惡意中傷在英港人組織，包括本會及本會創辦人鄭文傑先生。
本會特此提醒公眾，該等文章以憑空臆測及捏造之手法散播虛假訊息，企圖誤導不明就裡之讀者，相信目的在於抹黑在英港人群體，挑撥離間社區之信任，進而削弱一切對中共威權政體持異見之海外力量。
對於任何刻意抹黑、散播謠言、製造分化之行徑，本會予以最嚴厲之譴責，並呼籲各界擦亮眼睛，勿受誤導。

Statement by Hongkongers in Britain on False Media Reports
Beijing's mouthpieces, such as "Bastille Post" and "Global Weekly," have recently published numerous articles full of falsehoods. These articles maliciously defame several UK-based Hongkonger organisations, including HKB and its founder, Mr. Simon Cheng. The defamation is carried out anonymously, under the guise of "Hongkongers in the UK," or using fictitious names.
We wish to alert the public to articles that spread disinformation through baseless speculation and fabrication, with the aim of misleading uninformed readers. We believe this is an attempt to smear the Hong Kong diaspora in the Uk, sow distrust within the community, and ultimately crush dissent against the Chinese Communist Party's authoritarian rule abroad.
HKB strongly condemns any deliberate acts of defamation, rumour-spreading and attempts to divide the community. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and not be misled.
